China Textile Information Center is an intermediary organization of the textile trade. It was established during China's reform of governmental institutions and the national scientific research system, through reorganizing four organizations, namely China Textile Information Institute and the Information Network Center, the Textiles Development Center and the Statistical Center under the former State Textile Industry Bureau.

　　 China Textile Information Center (CTIC) and China Textiles Development Center (CTDC) work together as one organization, and the Secretariat of China Textile Engineering Society and the Secretariat of China Fashion Color Association are affiliated to CTIC.

　　 China Textile Information Center regards upgrading the textile industry as its mission, giving guidance to the textile industry as its task, setting industry-wide standards as its target and offering solutions as the means for serving the industry. It serves both government policy makers and textile enterprises.

　　 China Textile Information Center has three major tasks, namely introducing information technology to the textile industry, constructing the information bank of the textile industry and giving guidance to textile product development.

　　 To be specific, CTIC is widely involved in IT construction, policy study, statistical analysis, consultation & information services, publishing, software development, trend forecast, textile fabric testing and quality certification,code of conduct for china social compliance ,trade promotion, etc.
